Contactless traceability technologies for mobile app

RFID

lecteur rfid minRFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a technology that allows data to be stored on a microchip and retrieved remotely without physical contact between the read/write equipment and the microchip, known as a "radio tag", "RFID tag" or "RFID transponder".

The microchip, which contains an identifier and possibly additional data, can be found in various forms: integrated into a self-adhesive label or packaging (anti-theft system in department stores), moulded into a plastic card in credit card format (contactless card for access control, payment card, customer card, driver's licence, identity document) or even in the form of a biocompatible glass capsule for marking domestic animals (cats, dogs) or livestock.

BEACONS

Beacons are Bluetooth transmitters that function as beacons that indicate their presence to nearby smartphones or tablets via a Bluetooth BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) connection.

Beacons can be placed in a point of sale, a museum, an area frequented by a target audience. The small detection radius associated with a beacon makes it possible to contextualise messages according to the location of the visitor.

The beacon can be used for promotional purposes, for loyalty programmes, for statistical analysis (attendance, visitor interest targets, etc.) or as a museum audio guide trigger.
